Our Story

Golden Hour Gardens came to me in a migraine dream. No joke. I was in a pained half sleep, trying to find relief and set my mind on beautiful things. Many of those involving light or little golden glimpses of time. During this battle between mind & matter, a gentle peace settled over my body - and with it brought the name for our farm.

Golden Hour.

When the sun sets on the surrounding landscape just right for thirty minutes, and produces an unforgettable, peaceful glow. Enveloping everything around it with beauty, this slice of time is a photographers dream, and my personal love.

Golden Hour.

A warm feeling deep within your soul, triggered by a small (mostly mundane) event or realization of gratitude. Unexpectedly arriving at the perfect time, and forcing a pause on all the chaos. The magic of being where your feet are.

Golden Hour.

My goal for this flower farm is to shed light on simple beauty found in our everyday. To evoke feelings of joy, peace and coming home. Sharing soul food with folks who need a little relief during painful seasons, like I myself found in flowers.

Golden Hour Gardens is a love letter to life.

... Or the love letter discovered while living life in the light.

Hey friends, I'm Chelsi... and this is my husband Ryan. We're two hard-working dreamers who consistently test the borders of our sanity. Together we've built two houses, had three babies, and nurture a number of animals... mainly cats.

Ryan operates heavy equipment full time over at DuBay Excavation, and I've spent the last four years homeschooling our children. While managing a business, and a household - I desperately searched for a personal creative outlet. It wasn't until my health tanked January 2024, in the darkest of winter depths, that I found flowers. Or maybe they found me.

Growing flowers, ahem dahlias, is the medicine my soul needed. The spark of joy, creativity, excitement, and pure desire to flourish is indescribable.

Having the opportunity to bring beauty into the world, and share that same feeling with others is SUCH a gift. One that I, for better or worse, am now entranced with. It's time to share the light.
